Katherine Handin provides coaching and consulting

development, transition management, maximization of emotional
competencies, and integrative team facilitation.
Katherine has successfully coached executives in the communications, financial services, entertainment/media, health care and technology industries. Clients include Johnson & Johnson, QVC Inc., Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Nokia, University of Pennsylvania Health System, North Hawaii Community Hospital, American Management Association (AMA), Center for Leadership Studies, Inc., and Tribeca Entertainment, NYC.
Eighteen years of corporate experience combined with her experience in behavioral development and systems process theory position her as a valued confidant to executives facing leadership, career, performance, stress management and balance issues. Katherines coaching alliances are designed to forward and enhance the lifelong process of learning, effectiveness and fulfillment.
Central in her results-oriented coaching toolkit is her intellectual and experiential understanding of the dynamics of change. Katherine champions the development of the change mastery skills essential in navigating personal and organizational transitions successfully. She expands individual and organizational capacity to achieve and sustain meaningful change through defining core values and cultivating resiliency, adaptability, and future vision.
Katherine is the founding principal of Global Coaching Alliance, LLC. Prior experience includes corporate communications, strategic planning, project development and managerial initiatives for Sony Music International. As a corporate communications and marketing specialist she managed the successful development and execution of multi-media marketing presentations and performance coaching to a full range of corporate and financial clients. Katherine has facilitated individual and group developmental processes since 1988.
Pro bono works includes strategic visioning and facilitation for the Metropolitan AIDS Neighborhood Nutrition Alliances (MANNA) Board of Directors. She has been a guest on WHYYs "Voices in the Family" radio program as an expert on ethics and leadership in corporate America.
Katherine pursued her sociology degree at the University of Texas and received her professional certification in personal and organizational coaching from The Hudson Institute. She is a certified practitioner of the BarOn EQ-I, the first scientifically developed assessment tool created to measure emotional competencies in individuals and organizations. Katherine is a certified member of The American Management Associations (AMA) Situational Leadership® coaching team. Professional affiliations include the National Association of Business Coaches (NABC), the International Association of Certified Coaches (IACC), and the Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Group. She is currently writing a book, Effortless Leadership, due to be published in 2004. Katherine lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
